This policy explains what personal data Sigzen Technologies Pvt Ltd, operating as Sigzen AI, collects through sigzenai.com and the free AI Visibility Score, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the rights you have over it. It applies to visitors to the site, people who request a free score, people who contact us and newsletter subscribers. Data processed for clients during an engagement is governed by the data-processing terms of the relevant agreement rather than by this policy.
1.Who we are
Sigzen Technologies Pvt Ltd, a company incorporated in India, is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. It operates Sigzen AI, its AI Visibility & Automation Studio, and the website at sigzenai.com. Sigzen AI is a trading division of Sigzen Technologies Pvt Ltd and not a separate legal entity. The company is based in India and works with clients worldwide.
Questions about this policy or about your personal data can be sent to hello@sigzenai.com with the word "Privacy" in the subject line.
2.What we collect
Free AI Visibility Score: the domain you ask us to score, the email address you want the report sent to, and the competitor names you choose to enter. If you add your name, role or category, we keep those too.
Contact form: your name, email address, website and the message you write.
Newsletter: your email address and the dates on which you subscribed, confirmed and, if you do, unsubscribed.
Automatically, when you submit a form: the page you sent it from and your browser's user-agent string. We do not store your IP address in raw form.
Automatically, when you browse: anonymised usage data such as pages viewed, buttons clicked and approximate country, collected by our analytics providers as described in section 9. We do not use this data to identify you by name.
Automatically, on your first visit: our hosting provider derives your approximate country from your IP address at the network edge so that prices can default to US dollars or Indian rupees. Only the resulting currency choice is kept, in a cookie described in section 9; the country and the IP address are not stored by us.
On-site assistant: if you use the assistant on the site, the question you type is sent to a language-model provider to generate a reply. We do not store the conversation. Please do not include personal data in your questions.
3.Why we use it and on what legal basis
Replying to enquiries and running the free score: our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and in providing the service they requested. You can object at any time, and we will stop unless we have a compelling reason to continue.
Sending the newsletter: your consent, given by double opt-in. You confirm your subscription by clicking a link in the first email, and every subsequent email contains an unsubscribe link.
One follow-up after a free score: our legitimate interest in asking whether the report was useful. We send one such message and no more unless you reply or subscribe.
Performing a contract: where you become a client, the processing needed to deliver the engagement and to invoice for it.
Complying with law: keeping accounting and tax records for the periods the law requires, and responding to lawful requests from authorities.
4.How the free score uses your data
When you request a free AI Visibility Score we run a set of public buyer prompts about your domain and the competitors you named through the official APIs of five AI engines. The prompts contain the domain and competitor names you supplied; they do not contain your name or email address.
The answers returned, our scoring of them and the report we send you are kept for 12 months from the date of the request so that we can resend the report, answer questions about it and compare a later score with an earlier one. After that they are deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
The score is produced by our AI answer monitor from a limited prompt set and is illustrative of how the engines answered on the day it ran. It is not a representation about your business or anyone else's.
6.International transfers
Sigzen Technologies Pvt Ltd operates from India, works with clients worldwide, and uses providers listed in section 5 that process data in the United States and the European Union. Your personal data may therefore be transferred to and stored in India, the United States, the European Union and any other country in which those providers operate.
Where data about residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland is transferred outside those territories, we rely on the standard contractual clauses, the UK international data transfer addendum or the Swiss equivalent, or on an adequacy decision where one applies. For residents of other countries we apply the transfer safeguards their law requires, and in every case the written contracts with our providers bind them to the same protections described in this policy. A copy of the relevant safeguard is available on request.
7.How long we keep it
Free score data, including the domain, competitor names, engine answers and report: 12 months from the request.
Enquiries through the contact form and any correspondence that follows: until the enquiry is resolved, and then 24 months, so that we can refer to earlier conversations if you come back.
Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe. We keep a record of the unsubscribe itself so that we do not email you again.
Client records: for the term of the engagement and then for the statutory periods that apply to contracts, accounting and tax records in India and in any other country whose law requires us to keep them.
You can ask us to delete your data sooner, as described in section 8. Deletion removes your enquiries and free-score records from our systems, except where we must keep a record to meet a legal obligation or to honour an unsubscribe.
8.Your rights
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR give you the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office in the United Kingdom or to the supervisory authority in your member state.
If you are in California or another US state with a consumer privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used and shared, to access, correct and delete it, to opt out of its sale or sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of; you may still send us a request to confirm this.
If you are in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives you the right to access a summary of the personal data we process and how it has been shared, to have it corrected, completed or erased, to withdraw consent, to nominate a person to exercise your rights if you are unable to, and to raise a grievance with us and, if it is not resolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.
If you are elsewhere, including Canada, Brazil, Australia, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, we honour the equivalent rights of access, correction, deletion, portability and withdrawal of consent that your data-protection law provides, together with the right to complain to your supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@sigzenai.com with "Privacy" in the subject line. We may ask you to confirm that the request comes from the email address on our records. We respond within one month, or within any shorter period that applies under the law of your country.
